Addition to management team lends impetus to growth ambitions
Computest, the specialist in security, performance and automated functional testing, has appointed Chris Hazewinkel as the CEO of Computest Services BV. In his new role, Hazewinkel is responsible for strengthening and developing the market position of Computest Services BV, which, in addition to cyber security services, also provides software performance and compliance activities. The appointment of Chris Hazewinkel to the Computest board represents a strategic step towards accelerating growth and strengthening and broadening the company’s positioning.
In Hazewinkel, Computest is bringing in an experienced leader with a strong track record. For example, as managing director of Easynet Global Services and Onepoint, he was responsible for setting up and successfully implementing a growth strategy. Hazewinkel has extensive experience of developing and expanding businesses, IT business models, optimisation and acquisitions and mergers. Before joining Computest, he was founder and CEO of the Los Angeles-based company HUP (Humans Unlocking Potential). There, Hazewinkel supported international companies looking to establish a presence in the American market.
Computest has over 100 employees, mainly technical specialists. It is the largest supplier in the Netherlands to provide security assurance, application performance and functional testing services, and the only one to offer all three. With the appointment of a separate CEO for Computest Services BV, the company is seeking to increase its focus and position itself as a full-service provider for businesses in terms of security, business risks and compliance."
Strong growth potential
Hartger Ruijs, CEO and founder of Computest: "The knowledge and extensive experience Chris has gained, as well as his personality, perfectly match what our organisation needs to grow further. We have a strong reputation for quality and there is a lot of potential in the market. I look forward to capitalising on those opportunities with Chris and further strengthening our position as the most innovative and forward-thinking player in cyber security."
"Computest is an ambitious company with enthusiastic people”, says Hazewinkel. "When it comes to security and performance services, we have a distinctive position, with specialists who rank among the elite in their fields. I also like the fact that at Computest we don't just focus on projects for clients but also take our social responsibility seriously, for instance with pro bono research into cyber vulnerabilities. As CEO, I am proud to have been given the opportunity to contribute to the company’s growth, to position Computest more firmly as a leader and to build a successful future together with the team."
