Computest shapes growth strategy with acquisition of SYSQA

SYSQA consultants add essential expertise in software testing and quality assurance to the organisation.

Zoetermeer, 14 April 2022 - Computest, specialist in cybersecurity services, performance testing and DevOps, joins forces with SYSQA, service provider in the field of software testing and quality assurance. The merger of the two companies results in an organisation with 200 employees. Customers of both organisations benefit from more in-depth expertise and full service. For the employees of Computest and SYSQA, joining forces means more opportunities to grow and develop and the possibility to work on a wide range of assignments within a diverse customer portfolio.

The expansion of Computest with SYSQA is an important step in achieving the growth ambitions of the Zoetermeer based company. Last year, the company received an investment from Mentha Capital and set the aim to bolster its strong position as a DevOps specialist, among other things. With the acquisition of SYSQA, and by welcoming 90 new colleagues who in time will be part of the DevOps business unit, Computest is living up to this ambition.

A people-oriented culture

The merger of our organisations creates interesting perspectives for the talented people already working with us, as well as for new colleagues.

Hartger Ruijs, CEO and founder of Computest

Hartger Ruijs, CEO and founder of Computest: “SYSQA has an impressive track record and a strong reputation in software testing and quality assurance. With their high level of knowledge and complementary customer portfolio, they are a very attractive party for us. It also has a powerful training program for (new) colleagues. The merger of our organisations creates interesting perspectives for the talented people already working with us, as well as for new colleagues.”

The same goes for SYSQA: the merger with Computest is in line with their aspiration for expansion. Jurriën Kuijpers, Managing Director of SYSQA: “As a larger organisation, we have more resilience and more options to serve a wider variety of customers. The reason for merging with Computest, instead of opting for, say, a large software house, is that we share our people-oriented way of working. Our employees are our number one priority and we noticed that the same goes for Computest. Besides that, we match in terms of content. Both organisations are specialised in what they do and are beautifully complementary with each other. This also offers great opportunities for our employees: they can grow in new roles, exchange knowledge and develop themselves with new tools, just to name a few.”

Integration of organisations

For the time being, SYSQA will continue to operate under its own name. In the coming months, an integration team with members from both organisations will be working on the merger of the organisations. “We don't want to go over this overnight”, stresses Ruijs. “It is particularly important that the employees of Computest and SYSQA find their place in the new organisation and that we create a pleasant company where everyone feels at home and enjoys their work and where people would like to work. That's why we take the time to carefully work this out together.”
