Dennis de Hoog appointed CEO of Computest Security

Zoetermeer, 1 June 2022 - Computest Group, specialist in cybersecurity services and DevOps, has appointed Dennis de Hoog as CEO of Computest Security. At Computest Security, De Hoog takes on a team of 55 ethical hackers and security specialists and heads Sector 7, the research lab where the best ethical hackers conduct ground-breaking research into vulnerabilities. De Hoog has the task of supervising the growth of the organisation both organically and through acquisitions at home and abroad. De Hoog will also be involved in the further development of the service portfolio and the business units within Computest Security: Prevent, Detect, Respond & Governance.

Dennis de Hoog

Prior to his appointment at the Computest Group, De Hoog was working as Regional Head Cloud, Infra, Data & Application Security at Fox-IT/NCC Europe, part of the NCC Group. Before that, he had various international management and consultancy positions.
Based on his knowledge and experience, he will make an important contribution to Computest's ambition to grow as an exceptionally customer-oriented and enthusiastic organisation into the leading security party in the Netherlands and to take the first steps on the international market.

Best kept secret with a lot of growth potential

For De Hoog, it is a good time to switch to Computest. As a relatively small player with a lot of growth potential, Computest is the best kept secret on the market. “With our highly talented staff, our great level of knowledge and the guarantee that customers can always count on us, we gained a strong position. Together with Mentha Capital's investment, this laid a robust foundation for further expansion of the organisation's success, both at home and abroad. We also took promising steps in broadening the portfolio. I look forward to reinforcing this even more and making the service sharper and even more customer-oriented", says De Hoog.

Focus on organisational culture

Computest and De Hoog do not only match in terms of content and business. The fact that people are put first at Computest makes all the difference. Computest has a strong focus on the organisational culture and on creating an enjoyable working environment and this positive vibe is passed on to clients. This makes Computest an attractive employer for security talent. While achieving (inter)national ambitions by takeovers, among other things, it is also important to keep a keen eye on the cultural aspects that come along with growth, and to make sure that new people feel at home. De Hoog can add a lot of value based on his experience.

Dennis de Hoog succeeds Chris Hazewinkel, who over the past two years as CEO of Computest Security has achieved strong growth in terms of staff, turnover and profit. Hazewinkel also led Computest Security through a transition and optimised the organisation, portfolio and positioning. For instance, the separate business units Prevent, Detect, Respond and Governance have been set up which broadens the services. Hazewinkel will remain with Computest and will focus on the company's strategy, innovation and customer and partner relationships.

Hartger Ruijs, founder and CEO of Computest Group: “With his impressive track record, Dennis is the right person to further develop and strengthen Computest Security. I expect that with his arrival and Mentha on board as an investor, we can boost our growth and deliver on our ambition to become the leading security party.”
